The FarStar's crew presses onward in their quest to locate Moff Kentor Sarne, making their way towards Gandle Ott subsequent to picking up NewsNet dispatches indicating Sarne's presence there. Upon arriving at the planetary location, they observe a chaotic situation arising from Sarne's departure along with almost the entirety of the Imperial military forces and resources. Captain Kaiya Adrimetrum, functioning as a delegate of the New Republic, commences diplomatic discussions with the indigenous authorities. Nevertheless, Sarne has left a nasty surprise for the FarStar - a BRT supercomputer that has been reprogrammed. Its mission is to prevent them from pursuing the Moff.
Following several days marked by negotiations and evading assassination attempts, the crew gains insight that Sarne is en route to Shintel. Uncovering that the BRT is orchestrating the attacks against them, the FarStar's crew succeeds in restoring the computer to its original state – but only after it deploys an assassin droid to eliminate them. After a confrontation with the droid within the Theatre Danske, the FarStar sets off for Shintel to persist in their investigation.
