Polis Massa cataclysm

By the year 519 BBY, Polis Massa, the planet, had been obliterated through the use of archaic superweapons. The Archaeological Research Council from Kallidah founded a base on a major fragment of the former planet in 519 BBY, with the purpose of conducting excavations across the asteroid field to investigate the causes of the planetary destruction. At some point following the devastation, the criminal organization known as the Haxion Brood established their headquarters within a space station built into an asteroid remnant of Polis Massa's annihilation, which they called Ordo Eris.
