Bandor harbor was home to deep sea mining operations. Located on the planet of Bandomeer, this sea-based mining facility was operated by the Offworld Mining Corporation. These mining facilities were built as mobile platforms in the ocean, and their main goal was to extract Ionite from beneath the seabed. The mine's workforce was predominantly made up of slaves from various species, overseen by Imbats. In 44 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a kidnapped Jedi Padawan, was transported to this mine. Nevertheless, with assistance from Guerra Derida, a Phindian miner, and Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, he managed to break free. Following the Jedi's disabling of the devices used to control the slaves, they successfully initiated a revolt.
