The lightsaber of Depa Billaba, a Jedi Master, was characterized by its blue blade and was used throughout the Clone Wars.
As a Padawan of the renowned Mace Windu, Billaba was a remarkable duelist, dedicated to teaching her skills to others. The design of her lightsaber included a cylindrical metal hilt, a tapered pommel, and an emitter with multiple rings. A diamond-shaped metal piece fully enclosed the emitter, wrapping around the hilt.
During her service as a Jedi General, Billaba wielded this lightsaber until her death during the implementation of Order 66. In her final moments, she defended herself against clone troopers who had previously been under her command, encouraging her Padawan, Caleb Dume, to escape, until the weapon was forcibly removed from her possession.
The lightsaber of Depa Billaba made its debut appearance in Kanan 1, which was the initial installment of the Star Wars: Kanan comic series. Although concept artwork from 2012 created for Star Wars: The Clone Wars showed a blue blade, the comic depicted it with a green blade. The reference book Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection and the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode called "Aftermath" reestablished the blue blade color.
