Dorvan, having expressed his lack of desire for assistance just prior to Lor's arrival, was met with a floral arrangement and an apologetic note from Daala: "Sorry, a favor."
Born into a family that maintained amicable relations with Chief of State Natasi Daala, Lor distinguished herself academically and possessed a spotless legal history. Wynn Dorvan speculated that Daala's selection of Lor stemmed from a belief that, as a woman, Lor might encounter future career obstacles, coupled with Daala's own experiences of gender-based prejudice during her time in the Imperial ranks.
Lor possessed a strong work ethic and a keen enthusiasm. Her compassionate nature allowed her to perceive the positive qualities in others, leading Dorvan to question the prevalence of such innocence. Furthermore, she exhibited deep empathy, demonstrated by her dismay at the devastation caused by Jedi Knight Natua Wan's affliction at the Coruscant Livestock Exchange and Exhibition.
