Disney Interactive functions as the interactive entertainment arm of The Walt Disney Company. Excluding the game development covered by the Electronic Arts contract, this organization is tasked with the production of Star Wars games for mobile and PC systems.
The Walt Disney Company completed its acquisition of Lucasfilm on October 30, 2012. Some months passed, and on April 3, 2013, LucasArts, the video game division of Lucasfilm, shut down its publishing and development operations, maintaining only its licensing responsibilities, with Disney Interactive taking over coordination with Lucasfilm. A new licensing strategy was revealed on May 6, 2013, designating Electronic Arts as the sole video game contractor for AAA Star Wars games, while Disney Interactive shifted its focus toward games for "casual audiences".
The primary duty of Disney Canada, Inc. is the creation of products related to Disney's Club Penguin franchise. They were responsible for the development of the Star Wars Takeover and the Star Wars Rebels Takeover within the Club Penguin virtual environment.
Disney Interactive Worlds is involved in the creation of children's MMO games based on Disney-owned properties like Pirates of the Caribbean. They collaborated with Area 52 Games on Star Wars: Attack Squadrons, a project that was ultimately canceled in 2014.

Disney Mobile is the division that handles the production of all iOS video games under the Disney Interactive umbrella. Within their own studio, they have created Star Wars: Assault Team, Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace, and Star Wars Scene Maker. Furthermore, they have partnered with various other development houses to launch Star Wars: Tiny Death Star and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on iOS devices.
