The Doombringer, a Harrower-class dreadnought, carried the devastating Silencer, a superlaser weapon capable of obliterating an entire fleet. During the era of the Cold War, it served as the flagship of Moff Valion Pyron and later became a component of Darth Nox's fleet.

The Silencer was mounted onto the front of the Dreadnaught to facilitate rapid deployment and firing.
During the Cold War, the Doombringer saw action for the Sith Empire under the leadership of Moff Valion Pyron. It was selected as the initial Imperial Dreadnaught to undergo testing of the Silencer, a formidable superlaser developed by the Empire with the capability to eradicate entire fleets. The Sith Lord Kallig personally visited the Doombringer to witness the destructive potential of the superlaser, with the intention that this demonstration would help to garner support from allies within the Empire. After the Silencer annihilated a complete Republic Fleet, Kallig gave the order for all Dreadnaughts under the command of their allies to be outfitted with a Silencer Superlaser.
The Doombringer exhibits parallels with the Conqueror, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer from the time of the Galactic Civil War that was armed with a superlaser analogous to that of the Death Star.
