Durmat, a Human male, held the rank of Ensign within the Republic forces during the era of the Cold War. He was also the offspring of Rylon, an Imperial spy.
During the year 3643 BBY, Durmat found himself as a prisoner on the planet Balmorra, a consequence of his father secretly aiding the Empire. While imprisoned, he impulsively revealed the truth about his father's loyalty. Subsequently, he crossed paths with [Darth Baras]' apprentice, dispatched to kill him. Despite Durmat's pleas to the Sith Warrior for mercy, arguing his value to the Empire, the Warrior rejected his proposition and carried out his execution.
The Sith Warrior is presented with a choice: eliminate Durmat (Dark Side) or administer a drug designed to induce complete memory loss (Light Side). Even after administering the drug, the Warrior retains the option to kill Durmat (Dark Side) or allow him to survive (Light Side).
