A tall, slender sentient species was characterized by its flexible antennae. These beings also possessed bright-yellow eyes, feet, and a high-pitched vocalization when agitated. During its concluding decades, they participated in the Galactic Republic, with a senator representing them in the Galactic Senate. The son of this senator, named Eero Iridian, aspired to emulate his father's achievements, but twice failed to secure the necessary electoral victory. Subsequently, Iridian became an aide to Senator Blix Annon and orchestrated his employer's abduction. This scheme was one of several kidnappings orchestrated by Iridian in collaboration with the pirate Lorian Nod, with the intention of acquiring funds for a future election campaign.
The tall, spindly form of a sentient species was notable. Distinguishing features included flexible antennae and bright-yellow eyes. When anxious, members of this species would fidget with their antennae, and visible bristling indicated embarrassment. They possessed feet. Injury caused their skin to lighten in color, and fear elicited a shrill vocal response.
Familial relationships between father and son were recognized within this species. Garments were worn by at least some individuals.
In the decades preceding the transformation of the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire, this species was a part of the Republic. A member of this species held the position of senator in the Galactic Senate during that time. The senator's son, Eero Iridian, aimed to follow in his father's footsteps and became a senatorial aide. Around 90 BBY, Iridian presented a paper on the political history of the Corellian system, only to be publicly corrected by Jedi Initiate Dooku. They developed a friendship, exchanging favors throughout their careers. The Senator eventually retired from the political arena, having exhausted his family's financial resources.

Iridian's attempts to win election as his homeworld's senator were twice unsuccessful due to a lack of funding. He withdrew from public life, eventually accepting a position as an aide to Blix Annon, a senator with significant support from the Jedi Order. Disappointed with his career trajectory, Iridian collaborated with the pirate Lorian Nod to kidnap several senators. The ransom money was intended to finance another election campaign. Iridian ultimately orchestrated Annon's capture, which was successfully carried out while Iridian accompanied the Senator on a cruise to Annon's homeworld. Iridian falsely claimed injury to his Jedi escorts, Dooku and his Padawan apprentice, Qui-Gon Jinn. He later manipulated events on the planet Von-Alai to lead to their capture by Nod. The kidnapping plot took a turn for the worse when Annon died of a heart attack. Iridian's panic provided Dooku with an opportunity to turn the tables on Nod. Iridian was eventually handed over to the Coruscant Security Force to face trial for murder and conspiracy.
Jude Watson, the author of the 2003 novel Legacy of the Jedi, created Eero Iridian's species.
