Elan Tallah served as a Galacian leader for the hill people residing on Gala.

Before King Cana of Gala wed Veda, Elan was the out-of-wedlock offspring of Cana and Tema of the hill people. For a significant portion of her life, Elan guided the hill people.
In the year 44 BBY, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn sought her out, aiming to persuade her to journey to Galu with her people and participate in the elections. His objective was to ensure the selection of Wila Prammi, the sole candidate who wasn't anti-democratic (Prince Beju) or affiliated with the Offworld Corporation (Deca Brun). However, Elan declined, believing that Veda had dispatched him to either imprison her or disperse the hill people.
Nevertheless, an assault carried out by misled royalist forces under the command of Lonnag Giba, Veda's disloyal chief Council Minister, forced her to go back to the city. Following the conclusion of the elections, Elan was revealed as the legitimate successor to the throne because she possessed the Mark of the Crown. This mark could only be detected within a specific chamber of the palace and was exclusively visible on the true heir. Subsequently, she offered comfort to her half-brother, Beju.
Elan was well-known for her abilities in leadership and healing, as well as her character which was stubborn yet kind. She received training in the use of a bowcaster for combat purposes and demonstrated proficiency in piloting a swoop bike.
