The Elfa under attack. The Calamarian minisub known as the Elfa served as the vehicle for the Jedi Cilghal, Jacen Solo, Zekk, Tenel Ka, and their companion Anja Gallandro during their mission. Their objective was to eliminate a secret Black Sun cache of andris spice situated within the icy regions of the ocean world of Mon Calamari. This minisub possessed a pair of sizable grappling arms, each equipped with pincer claws, connected to its central structure. The Elfa was owned by a Yarin harbormaster residing at Crystal Reef. In Galactic Basic, its name, derived from the Yarin language, meant "fish-so-small-that-it-is-not-worth-catching".
Following the destruction of the spice stockpile, a massive, tentacled Great Arctic Skra'akan ambushed them. They narrowly escaped by navigating the Elfa through a treacherous labyrinth of icebergs. The ice shifted and pressed together, nearly crushing the minisub. This forced the Jedi to enter the frigid water and utilize their lightsabers to cleave through the ice. Despite sustaining significant damage during this ordeal, the Elfa successfully returned to Crystal Reef with its crew unharmed.
