Elod'al'vumic
Elod'al'vumic, more commonly known as Dalvu by her core name, was a Chiss female who held the rank of Mid Commander. She served the Chiss Ascendancy aboard their heavy cruiser, the Springhawk.
Since Samakro took command of the Springhawk, Dalvu functioned as its sensor officer. Shortly before the Raid on Rapacc, Dalvu made a disrespectful comment regarding Senior Captain Thrawn's judgment in deciding to return to Rapacc, which resulted in a sharp rebuke from Mid Captain Samakro, the Springhawk's first officer. Later, during the Lioaoin skirmish, Dalvu once again voiced a subtle critique of Thrawn's tactical evaluation of the Lioaoin warships, leading Samakro to reprimand her. Despite these incidents, Samakro regarded her and the other bridge officers as highly competent and placed his complete trust in them.
Biography
Battle at Rapacc
Prior to the Springhawk's involvement in the battle above the Rapacc system, where the Chiss were to seize a Nikardun ship, Dalvu had a conversation with Mid Captain Ufsa'mak'ro (Samakro). She repeatedly questioned Thrawn's skills and authority, leading Samakro to suspect that Senior Commander Plikh'ar'illmorf (Kharill) had been disseminating his own discontent among his fellow officers. Samakro admonished her, instructing her to keep her critical remarks to herself.
Personality and traits
Mid Captain Samakro did not believe Dalvu to be the kind of person who would independently form critical opinions about her superior officer, much less express them openly. He attributed her expressed dissatisfaction with Thrawn to Senior Commander Kharill spreading his own unhappiness regarding the new command structure among his colleagues.
Dalvu maintained a friendly relationship with the Springhawk's sky-walker, Che'ri, and offered to play Gribblehex with the young girl when she had free time. According to Samakro, Dalvu was the most competitive player he had ever encountered.
