Elod'al'vumic, whose core name was Dalvu, was a Chiss female who held the rank of Mid Commander. She served on the Chiss Ascendancy heavy cruiser known as the Springhawk.
From the moment Samakro took command of the Springhawk, Dalvu functioned as its sensor officer. Shortly before the Raid on Rapacc, Dalvu expressed a disrespectful opinion regarding Senior Captain Thrawn's decision to return to Rapacc, which resulted in a severe rebuke from Mid Captain Samakro, who was the Springhawk's first officer. Subsequently, during the Lioaoin skirmish, Dalvu again voiced a subtle critique of Thrawn's tactical assessment concerning the Lioaoin warships, prompting another admonishment from Samakro. Despite these incidents, Samakro held her, along with the other bridge officers, in high regard, trusting them implicitly with his life.
Prior to the Springhawk's involvement in the conflict over the Rapacc system, where the Chiss aimed to seize a Nikardun ship, Dalvu engaged in a conversation with Mid Captain Ufsa'mak'ro (Samakro). She persistently questioned Thrawn's competence and authority, leading Samakro to suspect that Senior Commander Plikh'ar'illmorf (Kharill) had been disseminating his own discontent among his fellow officers. Samakro reprimanded her, instructing her to keep her disparaging remarks to herself.
Mid Captain Samakro did not believe Dalvu capable of independently forming, let alone voicing, critical opinions about her superior officer. He attributed her open dissatisfaction with Thrawn to Senior Commander Kharill spreading his own negative views about the new command structure among his fellow officers.
Dalvu maintained a friendly relationship with Che'ri, the Springhawk's resident sky-walker, and offered to play Gribblehex with the young girl during her free time. According to Samakro, Dalvu was the most fiercely competitive player he had ever encountered.
