Empire Day Emperor's Statue

The Empire Day Emperor's Statue, a statue that resembled Emperor Palpatine, was created for the Imperial celebration of Empire Day. This statue was placed on his homeworld of Theed, located on Naboo. During Empire Day, it stood tall in the Palace Plaza, situated near the steps leading to the Theed Royal Palace. This location also served as the venue for presenting awards to members of the Imperial Military for their dedicated service to the Empire. Typically, two AT-STs, along with a platoon of Stormtroopers, guarded the statue.

In the year 1 ABY, Darth Vader, the Imperial enforcer, bestowed the Champion of Empire Day award upon a spacer in recognition of their contributions to the Empire. Vader also delivered a speech in front of the statue, recounting the holiday's history before his departure. In Vader's absence, Stormtrooper soldiers maintained a watchful presence, while an Imperial Celebration Organizer sold pro-Imperial treats like Gracious Government Mix and Order 66 Cookies (the former of which was rumored to be Emperor Palpatine's favorite) to loyal supporters of the Empire.

Behind the scenes

Within the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, the Empire Day Emperor's Statue was an in-game element. During Empire Day events, players who discovered the Emperor's Statue at specific times received various awards from Darth Vader during each real-life year.

Furthermore, players who had been veterans of the game for 63 months could acquire a replica of the statue to decorate their in-game homes.
