A male Human, named Eom Nia, served as a non-commissioned officer on Naboo during the era of the Galactic Civil War. By the time the Battle of Yavin occurred, Nia had achieved the rank of sergeant and was living in Kaadara.
Sergeant Eom Nia, in 1 ABY, took on the responsibility of mentoring a young cadet. This cadet had begun their officer training under Antom Moria at Tansarii Point Station, and later continued with Ellis Arrison on Tatooine. To provide practical experience in commanding troops, Sergeant Nia instructed the cadet to lead an assault on the Mummer Cave situated in the Gallo Mountains, with the objective of eliminating several Mummers. Ultimately, the cadet successfully completed the mission.
Eom Nia appeared as a non-player character within Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. The video game was initially released in 2003, developed by Sony Online Entertainment, and distributed by LucasArts before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Nia's inclusion in the game happened when "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," was implemented on November 15, 2005.
