Plot summary
Grievous, a General, has initiated an attack on the planet of Coruscant, resulting in the city being engulfed in flames. Iguni, Zeami, and [Zoi](/article/zoi], three Padawans, have disobeyed their masters' instructions and are participating in the battle outside. As the trio of Jedi fight against Super Battle Droids, Iguni recalls a lesson he had received from Master Yoda concerning the Force. Iguni had inquired of Master Yoda whether training in the Force would enhance his strength. Yoda responded that training could indeed make him stronger, but that this strength needed to originate from within, lest he be consumed by the dark side of the Force. Returning to the battle, Zoi sustains injuries, becoming severely wounded by attacks from Octuptarra combat tri-droids. Mace Windu arrives just in time to rescue Iguni and his companions, reprimanding Iguni for his disobedience in neglecting his orders to remain at the temple. Distraught over his inability to safeguard his friends, Iguni goes back to the temple. Zoi, having recently received treatment for his injuries, informs Iguni that the hero of the battle has just returned to the temple. Iguni is filled with awe at the sight of Anakin Skywalker, feeling even more inadequate in the presence of the Hero With No Fear. Iguni visits Zeami in the infirmary, where he expresses his remorse for her injuries. Despite Zeami's assurances that there is no need for apology, Iguni declares his intention to grow stronger to prevent anyone from being harmed by his weakness in the future.
Iguni commences training with renewed intensity, pushing himself relentlessly in his lightsaber duels with Master Windu. Gradually, Iguni's skills improve, and during one training session with Windu, he manages to graze the Jedi Master's clothing with his lightsaber. Elated by this achievement, Iguni is caught off guard when Windu uses a Force pushes to knock him to the ground. Windu admonishes Iguni for lowering his defenses, but he also commends his student on his progress, encouraging him to maintain his efforts. Overjoyed by the praise, Iguni celebrates with his friends. Later, while walking through the Jedi Temple, Iguni encounters Anakin Skywalker. Summoning his courage, he asks Skywalker how he achieved such strength. Anakin inquires of Iguni why he trains in the Force. Iguni replies that his training is aimed at becoming strong and protecting his friends. Anakin responds that his own training is motivated by a desire to protect those he loves. Iguni is encouraged by the apparent alignment of their motivations, and Anakin departs, placing his hand on Iguni's shoulder. However, upon Anakin's touch, Iguni experiences a vision of death and destruction with a mysterious figure wielding a lightsaber at the center. Deeply disturbed by the vision, Iguni watches as Anakin walks away into the distance.
