Faos Station, a non-military space station, became the site of a clandestine operation in 1 BBY. At this time, Saw Gerrera, along with fellow rebels Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Chopper, secretly boarded an Imperial freighter that was temporarily docked there. This freighter, disguised as an ordinary civilian vessel, was transporting a sizable kyber crystal, and the rebels infiltrated it.
Originally, the station was intended to be called Taos Station. However, this alteration in nomenclature occurred after the creation of the surface details on the model featured in Saw Gerrera's hologram. Consequently, the model still displays "TAOS" written in Aurebesh.
