Feyra Akaris, the mother of Iskat Akaris, had previously been a Jedi Padawan. Subsequent to her failure in the Jedi Trials, notably the Trial of the Spirit, Feyra departed from the Jedi Order and went back to her native planet, Pkori. After giving birth to a daughter, she relinquished the child into the care of Jedi Master Sember Vey. Akaris received a promise from the Jedi Master that her daughter would be protected, and her yellow-bladed lightsaber was secretly kept by him. Soon following these events, the older Akaris fell into a state of depression and ended her own life via suicide in the Pkori deserts. Vey and Jedi Master Klefan Opus both sensed her passing in the Force.
