Pkorians, originating from the world of Pkori, constituted a sentient species. Distinguishing features of this species included red-toned skin, elongated fingers, a dual-heart circulatory system, and exceptionally heightened sensory perception. Furthermore, they possessed the potential for blue eyes and brown hair. By the year 22 BBY, knowledge of this species and their origins was entirely absent within the Jedi Temple situated on Coruscant. The Jedi archives held no records pertaining to their home planet. One notable member of this species, Iskat Akaris, transitioned from a former Jedi Knight to a member of the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius, taking on the identity of the Thirteenth Sister.
Pkorians established their lives within a vast settlement located on a singular continent on Pkori, entirely isolated from technological advancements beyond their planet. They exhibited a lack of interest in possessing starships or droids, often expressing bewilderment upon encountering visitors equipped with such technology, referring to them as beings "from the stars".[2]
The Pkorian people communicated through a distinctive language, understood by RA-7 protocol droids. This language incorporated clicking sounds and trilled 'r' sounds, creating a musical quality that was pleasing to the ears of Iskat Akaris. Given their secluded existence, it is likely that this language was not widely known throughout the broader galaxy.
Members of the species led uncomplicated lives, crafting many of their tools and structures by hand. Their work encompassed various simple tasks, including the farming of animals such as cochukka sheep, birds, or red oxen, as well as cheesemaking, artistic endeavors, culinary practices, bookkeeping, and the creation of jewelry. They were known for preparing and consuming sheep's cheese, sweet cakes, and umbikki stew.

Pkorians maintained family trees within elaborate libraries, meticulously tracking the matrilineal lineage due to its perceived certainty, unlike the involvement of males in the bloodline. These records were known to contain fragrant flowers pressed within them, documenting the births and deaths of every woman born into a particular Pkorian family.
Females of the species resided together in family compounds, with the eldest woman serving as the family's matriarch, commanding respect from her descendants. Great emphasis was placed on helping and loving kin, and female Pkorians regarded the birth of a child as a significant cause for celebration.
Vibrant and colorful attire was customary among Pkorians. Women typically wore flowing dresses that facilitated ample airflow to the body while moving, along with an arm bracelet for each year of their life on Pkori. Some Pkorians struggled to comprehend the comfort of the more restrictive garments worn by other cultures in the galaxy, finding them to be in stark contrast to their own flowing skirts and dresses. Handcrafted jewelry, often consisting of small beads, was also worn extensively by females.
The initial, unidentified appearance of Pkorians occurred in issue 19 of the 2017 series of the comic book Darth Vader. Their designation as Pkorians was first established in the 2023 novel titled Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade, penned by Delilah S. Dawson and released by Random House Worlds. The original concept art for the Pkorian character Iskat Akaris bore a resemblance to the Palliduvan species, although the species' design ultimately diverged significantly in her final appearance, and its distinct identity was definitively established in Rise of the Red Blade.
