Star Wars: Darth Vader, also known as Star Wars: Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, represents a canon comic book saga. Charles Soule penned the story, while Giuseppe Camuncoli provided the artwork. Marvel Comics published it, launching on June 7, 2017, as the second iteration of the 2015 series bearing the same title. The series concluded on December 18, 2018, with the release of its 25th edition.
The narrative unfolds during the timeline of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, picking up directly after Darth Vader's discovery of his wife, Padmé Amidala's, demise. The series follows Vader as he undertakes various missions throughout the galaxy, simultaneously pursuing the remaining Jedi alongside his group of dark side acolytes, recognized as the Inquisitorius.
This series, together with the initial 2015 comic, was later rebooted as the 2020 Darth Vader comic series. This new series delves into Vader's exploits set between the events of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
