Fi was a clone trooper fighting for the Sarlacc Battalions of the 41st Elite Corps during the Clone Wars. During a skirmish that took place on Dinlo in 21 BBY, he participated in the battle until he suffered fatal injuries during the intense fighting. As he was dying, Jedi General Etain Tur-Mukan provided solace to Fi on a modified LAAT/c gunship. Soon after, Fi passed away due to his injuries. Etain was deeply affected by Fi's passing, especially since he shared a name with Fi, a clone commando who was a squadmate of Darman, the man Etain loved.
