Flying leaf

A flying leaf served as a mode of transport, dispatched by the Leaf Queen to the Ewok shaman Logray in 3 ABY. However, in Logray's absence, some young Ewoks commandeered it, embarking on a journey to the Sun King's palace.

Description

This flying leaf was an orange device, crafted in the shape of a massive leaf. It was employed by the Leaf Queen, a deity residing on the Forest Moon of Endor.

History

Teebo tries to perform magic in the flying leaf.

During 3 ABY, the queen dispatched a flying leaf to Bright Tree Village to retrieve the Ewok shaman Logray, as she required his assistance. With Logray unavailable, the young Ewoks Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, Latara, Wicket Warrick, and Teebo opted to take the leaf instead, despite Latara's initial reluctance.

As it carried the Ewoks toward the Sun King's palace, Teebo attempted to utilize a magic potion to alleviate the cold weather surrounding them. However, the spell inadvertently severed the flying leaf in two, causing a moment of alarm for the Ewoks, although the leaf swiftly repaired itself. Subsequently, the malevolent Snow King's Iceheads launched an assault on the flying leaf, resulting in Kintaka's fall into the snow. After the Iceheads also tumbled overboard, the flying leaf subjected the remaining three Ewoks to a turbulent, spinning flight, ultimately sending them over a cliff and crashing into the snow.

Behind the scenes

The flying leaf was conceived for "The Season Scepter," which was the thirteenth episode within the second season of the animated television series Ewoks. Bob Carrau penned the episode, and it premiered on November 1, 1986.
