FN-9330 was a stormtrooper of the male gender and human species. He was a member of the First Order during their conflict against the Resistance. Prior to the Battle of Starkiller Base, FN-9330 had an assignment at the base. The trooper was in the process of entering the transport area when the doors slid open, and Han Solo, Finn, and Chewbacca appeared. Before he could fully react to his surprise, the Wookiee fired his bowcaster at close range, resulting in the trooper being thrown back several feet and killing him instantly. To avoid detection, Chewbacca subsequently moved the deceased trooper's corpse out of sight.
Nigel Godrich portrayed FN-9330 in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, a 2015 movie and the initial entry in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Godrich, a prominent record producer, secured this role through the assistance of British filmmaker Edgar Wright, who is a friend and often works with Simon Pegg. The identity of the specific stormtrooper he played was revealed when Matthew Wood shared the film's credits, listing every minor voiceover line.
