Fondorian

Fondorians originated from Fondor and are classified in Legends as a Near-Human species that is hairless.

Biology and appearance

While fundamentally Humans, Fondorians possessed unique characteristics: a complete absence of body hair and purple colored blood.

Society and culture

The social structure of Fondor was organized around a system of castes. It was customary for Fondorians of the lower castes to be identified by a single name, which was their family name. Zsinj, the Imperial warlord, acquired this naming convention from his Fondorian father, who worked as a mechanic in a shipyard. Despite the caste system, upward mobility was achievable; Hosh Hune, prior to his defection to the Rebellion, was granted an apprenticeship with the Fondor Guild of Starshipwrights in recognition of his family's long-standing service to the organization.

Fondorians from the upper castes were renowned for their exceptional intelligence and dignified demeanor, harboring a strong conviction that they surpassed all other species in the galaxy in terms of intellect. Their exceptional analytical skills and adeptness at maneuvering commercial transactions to their advantage contributed to Fondor's status as one of the most affluent planets in the galaxy. Oolth, a defector from Black Sun, was a Fondorian. The author Metrisse was also a Fondorian.
