As a dark side power, the Force Hounds of the Infinite Empire employed Force shadow to explore planets and remote locations exhibiting exceptionally potent Force signatures; typically, the shadow remained unseen by all. Nevertheless, Force Hounds possessed the capacity to perceive a shadow, and four Je'daii—Daegen Lok along with the three Je'daii Journeyers Shae Koda, Sek'nos Rath, and Tasha Ryo—identified Xesh's shadow as he projected it across the Tython system. These four interpreted Xesh's shadow as a Force vision, unaware of the Force Hound's unique skill. Subsequently, while situated on Shikaakwa, Xesh leveraged this power to pinpoint Predor Skal'nas's stronghold on Ska Gora.
