A Twi'lek female named Tasha Ryo was a Je'daii Journeyer. During the peak of the Infinite Empire's power, she was a member of the Je'daii Order located on Tython.

Tasha Ryo, a Force-sensitive Twi'lek from the Ryo Clan, was born to Baron Volnos Ryo of Shikaakwa and Je'daii Temple Master Kora Ryo, who was the archmaster of the Great Temple of Knowledge, Kaleth. As she grew older, Ryo received training from the Je'daii Order in the ways of the Force on the planet Tython, one of the nine planets in the Tython system that comprised the Settled Worlds. Preferring to rely on her Force abilities for defense rather than weapons, Ryo attained the rank of Journeyer within the Order. Throughout her life, Ryo faced a constant internal conflict between her responsibilities to the Order and the demands of her father, who desired her to join his criminal organization on Shikaakwa.
While rescuing her father from an assassin inside his own fortress, Ryo had a vision of a mysterious figure named Xesh, a Force Hound serving the Infinite Empire, who was destined to crash the Rakatan ship known as the Devourer near the Rift on Tython. The significant number of deaths resulting from the crash alerted all Je'daii to the presence of a foreign entity on their world and triggered a Force storm that swept across the entire planet. Sensing the disturbance through a vision while battling the Devaronian assassin, Ryo resolved to follow the vision's guidance to maintain balance in the Force.

Upon arriving at the crash site, Ryo encountered fellow Journeyers Sek'nos Rath and Shae Koda, who had both experienced similar visions. While examining the wreckage of the alien vessel, the trio discovered an escape pod containing the stranger identified as Xesh. Preparing for a confrontation, the Je'daii were astonished as Xesh's Forcesaber effortlessly sliced through Rath and Koda's durasteel blades, and his Force abilities overwhelmed Ryo's. Despite this initial setback, the combined Force mastery of the three Je'daii allowed them to outmaneuver Xesh, and Koda managed to seize the Forcesaber from him. Disarmed and weakened, the Je'daii forced Xesh to retreat deeper into the Rift, toward the perilous Abyss of Ruh. As they pursued the Force Hound, the three Je'daii experienced hallucinations caused by the dark energies within the Abyss. Ryo succumbed to despair as her fears of disappointing her parents surfaced due to the strange effects of the Abyss.
Finding renewed hope through the support of her companions, the trio managed to locate Xesh as he fought a saarl. When Rath's attempt to distract the beast only provoked it further, the group was compelled to flee deeper into the cave. Making a final stand, Ryo and her allies attempted to defend themselves against the beast but were unable to activate the Forcesaber she had taken from Xesh. At the urging of her companions, Koda gave the saber back to Xesh, hoping he would use it to kill the saarl. However, Xesh took the weapon and abandoned the Je'daii to their fate. Unbeknownst to the journeyers, Xesh remained hidden to observe their struggle. Ryo was struck by the saarl's lightning, but Rath came to her rescue. When only Shae remained standing, Xesh unexpectedly assisted her against the saarl, ultimately killing it. Weeks later, after Xesh was captured, the three journeyers recovered at Mahara Kesh. Tasha visited Xesh in his prison cell, requesting permission to delve into his mind. The Twi'lek then witnessed Xesh's memories of the Infinite Empire and his upbringing.
Later on, Rath, Koda, and Ryo were present on Stav Kesh alongside Je'daii Master Tave. Tave noticed that they were too preoccupied with Xesh to focus on their studies. Ryo questioned why their visions and suggestions had been disregarded. Tave assured them that their input was being taken into consideration. He then instructed Rath and Koda to proceed to Vur Tepe, while Tasha was directed to Kaleth.
At Kaleth, Tasha sought evidence of the mysterious aliens who perished in the ship's crash, a species entirely unknown to the Je'daii. Concurrently, her father contacted her mother, demanding that she send Tasha to him, but she refused. Meanwhile, Tasha's search yielded no results. However, Master Ters Sendon arrived, stating that he had something to show her. He led her to an ancient chamber beneath Kaleth, which he believed predated the Tho Yor Arrival. He revealed a holocron from which he had unsuccessfully attempted to extract information. When Ryo touched it, the holocron's creator, A'nang, materialized before them. A'nang explained how the Kwa had established an advanced and benevolent interstellar civilization. A'nang spoke of a "Cosmic Power", which Sendon believed to be the Force. A'nang realized that if the holocron had been activated, a catastrophe must have occurred on Tython. Sendon informed him about the strange ship and the storm. A'nang remained silent. Ryo then presented A'nang with the unidentified skull, to which A'nang exclaimed, "Rakata!" and vanished.
Sometime later, in Master Ketu's chambers, they shared their discovery. Ketu introduced Rajivari, who attempted to access the holocron. A'nang appeared to him and explained about the Rakata and their Infinite Empire. Initially, the Kwa used Infinity Gates to explore the galaxy, and when they encountered a primitive species, they would provide guidance and assistance in their development. On one occasion, they arrived on a world called Lehon, inhabited by a species known as the Rakata. While the Rakata were primitive, they possessed immense strength in the Force, so the Kwa decided to teach them about it and share their technological knowledge. Unfortunately, the Kwa were unaware of the Rakata's barbaric and aggressive tendencies. The Rakata misused the knowledge they received to embark on a path of war and conquest, enslaving numerous species and practicing only the Dark Side, in contrast to the Kwa's teachings of balance. Eventually, the Rakata coveted the Infinite Gate technology, which the Kwa refused to give them. Consequently, the Rakata attempted to seize it, initiating a devastating conflict. The war led to the downfall of the Kwa holdings, and the majority of the species retreated to their homeworld of Dathomir. However, the Kwa managed to disable the Infinity Gate network, preventing the Rakata from acquiring it.
Approximately a year later, the Rakata launched an invasion of the Tython system. By this time, Tasha Ryo had become a seer and assisted the Je'daii forces, led by Xesh and Daegen Lok, by sharing her visions. As the Je'daii forces launched their decisive assault on the Rakata base on Ska Gora, she and the other seers had a vision of the Rakata attacking the Anil Kesh temple on Tython. Their vision was abruptly cut short when Xesh, who had once again become a Force Hound of the Rakata, blinded them with the power of the dark side. Blinded both physically and mentally, she chose to remain on Tython and meditate on the holocron of A'nang. Predor Skal'nas eventually discovered the Kwa Prime Gate deep within the Chasm, and A'nang informed Tasha that it was time for Tython to awaken, instructing her to take the holocron to the lowest level of Anil Kesh. Once there, Tasha stepped into the exploratory beam, restoring her connection to the Force.
Tasha Ryo possessed exceptional skill in the Force, particularly in the application of Telekinesis. When a skilled assassin was dispatched to eliminate Volnos Ryo, she was able to sense his presence through the Force, saving her father in time. During the confrontation with the assassin, she was also able to deflect his shots with her bare hands before disarming and subduing him. She also demonstrated proficiency with Force Push against Xesh. Unlike other Je'daii Journeyers, she did not employ any weapons other than the Force itself.
