Ters Sendon

Ters Sendon was a male Zabrak Jedi Master. He holds a place among those who initially established the Jedi Order.

Biography

As a Force-sensitive Zabrak, Ters Sendon's journey led him to become a Je'daii Master within the Je'daii Order. He made his home on Tython following the events of the Despot War. While serving as a Master at Kaleth, Sendon unearthed an ancient Kwa holocron deep within Kaleth's infrastructure. He posited that it predated the Tho Yor Arrival. Despite numerous attempts to connect with the holocron through meditation, Sendon was unsuccessful in accessing its contents. After a devastating Force Storm occurred when Xesh arrived on the planet in 25,793 BBY, Sendon encountered Je'daii Journeyer Tasha Ryo. She was attempting to identify an alien skull found aboard Xesh's vessel. Sensing her frustration, Sendon felt drawn to her. Together, they ventured into Kaleth's lower levels to consult the Kwa holocron. Sendon witnessed Ryo's successful activation of the device, which awakened its gatekeeper, A'nang of the Kwa. A'nang's holocron recounted the Kwa's history on Tython and analyzed the skull at Sendon's request. However, it deactivated upon recognizing the skull as belonging to a Rakata. Recognizing the significance of this discovery, Sendon and Ryo transported the skull and holocron to Akar Kesh in search of further insight. Within the chambers of Je'daii Temple Master Ketu, Sendon and Ryo entrusted the holocron to Master Rajivari, a respected Je'daii and holocron expert. Seeking guidance from the holocron, A'nang identified the skull as Rakatan and cautioned the Je'daii that their world faced grave danger if the Rakata sought them out. Acknowledging the threat, Master Ketu initiated plans to mobilize the Order's defenses in preparation for war.

During the Infinite Empire's invasion of the Tython system, Sendon remained close to Tasha Ryo, who served the Order as a prominent seer. While stationed at Ryo Fortress on Shikaakwa, Sendon was present when Ryo experienced a psychic backlash, an attack orchestrated by the Empire. Ryo was blinded, both in terms of her connection to the Force and her natural sight, and collapsed in Sendon's arms. She cried out that Xesh was responsible for the attack and that war would engulf the Chasm and the areas surrounding Anil Kesh. Despite her blindness to the Force, Sendon escorted Ryo back to Tython, and they remained at Anil Kesh to meditate on the holocron, hoping it would provide guidance for the impending battle. During their deep meditation, the holocron began to emit intense energy between them, overwhelming Sendon. As he recoiled, the holocron's power focused on Ryo and began to awaken Tython, enabling it to defend itself against the Rakata. Taking Ryo and the holocron to Anil Kesh's lowest level, Sendon listened as A'nang detailed the steps required to activate the Tho Yor and transform them into weapons against the Rakata. Realizing that Ryo would not survive the process, he sought an alternative, but Ryo reassured him. Expressing his affection for Ryo, Sendon allowed the young Je'daii Ranger to step into the void and activate the Tho Yor. When Ryo's body dissolved into pure Force energy emanating from the holocron, Sendon realized the Temple was in danger and fled, ordering an evacuation of the facility.

Following the Rakata's defeat, the Force Wars brought devastation to Tython in various forms. Alongside Masters Garon Jard, Rajivari, and Cala Brin, Sendon was among the original founders of the Jedi Order. As the Order's chronicler, Sendon instilled a deep appreciation for knowledge collection and envisioned the Order as guardians of the galaxy's wisdom. He traveled more extensively than any of the other founders, reflecting his belief that Jedi must learn from other cultures to overcome ignorance and share understanding. He recorded his own testimony and those of his colleagues on devices that were eventually forgotten on Tython as the Jedi departed the world at the war's conclusion.

Legacy

Ters Sendon hologram

Centuries later, after the Great Galactic War and the resurgence of the Sith Empire, a holographic recording of Master Sendon was discovered on Tython, the Jedi's ancestral homeworld, when the Order relocated from Coruscant. Along with recordings of Masters Brin and Jard, a hologram of Master Sendon was recovered from the Tythonian Gnarls.
