Garon Jard was a Jedi Master of the Human species, identified as male, and he held a position as one of the initial creators of the Jedi Order.
As a Human who was Force-sensitive, Garon Jard played a founding role in establishing the Jedi Order. He advocated for the Jedi to pursue peace throughout the galaxy, with a focus on defending themselves. However, he also recognized the need to wield weapons to assist those who were vulnerable, while always remaining mindful of the repercussions that aggressive actions could have on both themselves and the course of history. Alongside Master Rajivari, he was known for organizing gatherings of Jedi that lasted a week, with the goal of enhancing the Order's collective wisdom and strengthening its defenses against the dark side of the Force. These assemblies represented one of the earliest iterations of the Jedi Council.
After the conclusion of the Great Galactic War and the re-emergence of the Sith Empire, a hologram featuring Master Jard was found on Tython, the Jedi's original home planet, after the Order moved there from Coruscant. His hologram was the first to be recovered from the Tythonian Gnarls.
