Frank Miller, a comic book author born on January 27, 1957, is known for his cover art on an issue of the Marvel Star Wars comic book series.
His initial published work was in 1978 with Gold Key Comics on a comic book adaptation of the The Twilight Zone TV show. He quickly found work at both DC and Marvel Comics, and starting in 1979, he began illustrating Daredevil. This is where he honed his artistic style and rose to prominence as a significant comic creator during the 1980s. In the latter part of the 1980s, he both wrote and illustrated The Dark Knight Returns and penned Batman: Year One for DC; these stories significantly influenced the portrayal of the Batman character for many years. In the early 1990s, Miller started creating comics for Dark Horse Comics, which included a series of stories called Sin City, which was later adapted into a major motion picture.
Miller not only wrote the screenplay for but also co-directed the Sin City movie. He has also contributed to other film projects, including writing the screenplays for RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3. Additionally, he has made brief on-screen appearances in RoboCop 2, Daredevil, and Sin City.
