Galactic Courts of Justice
The Galactic Courts of Justice, also known by alternative names such as the Courts Building, Galactic Court, Courts of Justice Building, or Imperial Courts, was a structure situated on Coruscant. This building served as the home for the Galactic Republic and Galactic Empire Supreme Court, and potentially also accommodated the subordinate Regional Courts. Subsequently, under the New Republic and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, the Court of Justice was located within this building.
History
The Courts of Justice Building was erected within the Plains of Coruscant.
Following the New Republic's seizure of Coruscant, the Supreme Court was superseded by the Court of Justice. The legal trial of Tycho Celchu, a pilot from Rogue Squadron, took place inside this building.
In the era of the Galactic Alliance, the Ninth Hall of Justice in this building was the venue for the trial of Luke Skywalker. The High Court chamber was also situated within the building.
