Galan-Kalank was a musical style that gained prominence during the High Republic Era thanks to the Atchapat Family Galan-Kalank Orchestra. Its name and performance style were both derived from the sounds and rhythms of turbines and gears. The Atchapats employed transportable instruments fashioned from discarded machinery to create a powerful, percussive industrial soundscape, over which a vocalist would sing in harmony. The people of Coronet City were very fond of this music and created synchronized dances to accompany it.
