Characteristics

This capital city on Corellia, also going by the names Corellia City and Golden City, featured the Teeno Village district as one of its known areas. It also had mag-lev train networks with stops at various locations, including Juni Street Station. The city's vibrant nightlife was well-known, boasting numerous casinos as well as Peace and Security stations, one of which shared a subterranean level with a museum. Diadem Square, a downtown area with stores and air-tuks, was a central hub. Furthermore, the city had its own HoloNet news outlet, Coronet City Info, or CCI for short.

Due to the constant presence of numerous dignitaries, intense political struggles driven by greed and the pursuit of power were common, creating a demand for bodyguard services. Assassinations were known to happen from time to time.

On the outskirts of the city, far from the towering structures, one could find conveyer belts, assembly plants, and cranes.

History

During the [High Republic Era](/article/high_republic_era], around 230 BBY, the Nihil launched an attack against Coronet City with the aim of seizing the Santhe Shipyards. The Jedi, however, successfully thwarted this attack.

After Vukorah took over as Grand Leader of the Unbroken Clan, she led the Clan to seize control of the city, renaming it the Unbroken Clan Territory.

During the later years of the [Galactic Civil War](/article/galactic_civil_war], Dengar, a Corellian bounty hunter, and Mercurial Swift were involved in a fistfight on a holoplex rooftop within the city.

In 5 ABY, a group known as the Acolytes of the Beyond gained followers in the city while simultaneously harassing the local population. These Acolytes, dark-side adherents and devotees of Darth Vader, orchestrated a revolution that included coordinated assaults on various locations throughout the city. These locations included Diadem Square, the 1-line of the mag-lev subway, Juni Street Station, and several casinos. Furthermore, Acolytes jumped onto air-tuks, forcing them to crash. These attacks served as a diversion, enabling the Acolytes Kiza and Remi to raid a Peace and Security station to steal a red-bladed lightsaber from its basement.
