Gaza

Gaza, a prominent figure within the Herdessan Guild's leadership on his native world of Herdessa, was a Human male during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Following the Galactic Empire's decisive defeat at Endor in 4 ABY, Gaza and other Herdessan Guild chieftains convened with representatives from the Alliance of Free Planets to forge official diplomatic ties. A zealous advocate for the Herdessan custom of slavery, Gaza, along with his allies—headed by Spokesman Brylin—instead captured Alliance leader [Mon Mothma](/article/mon_mothma/legends], planning to hand her and their planet over to a surviving Imperial faction. Nevertheless, Leia Organa, another Alliance diplomat, spearheaded an armed Herdessan uprising that dismantled the Herdessan Guild's authority and thwarted their plot.
