The Geonosis campaign represents a theater of war that transpired during the Great Galactic War. This conflict pitted the forces of the Galactic Republic against the newly reformed Sith Empire. Its timeline falls within the period spanning from approximately 3665 BBY until the conclusion of the war in 3653 BBY. Within this campaign, a particular squad of Republic soldiers, which included Fideltin Rusk and Callan Grayne, saw action on the planet of Geonosis. They fought alongside a Human known as Durant, who subsequently rose to the rank of general and secured a position within the Republic Strategic High Command in the years that came after the war's end.
The initial reference to the Geonosis campaign appeared in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. This MMORPG was a joint release from BioWare and LucasArts back in 2011. The mention occurs during the "The Price of Victory" mission for characters playing as the Jedi Knight class, which takes place on Hoth. However, the character Durant is also presented as a target that Sith Warrior class players hunt on the planet Taris.
