Geonosis ray shield generator

The ray shield generator protecting the Geonosis primary droid foundry was operational before the Second Battle of Geonosis commenced. In the course of that battle, the forces of the Galactic Republic focused their attacks on and ultimately eliminated the ray shield generator, which then cleared the path for them to attack the factory directly.
