This tune, Ghost Star, was initially featured in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a game developed by Respawn Entertainment and launched on April 28, 2023. Danny Homan, the Lead Writer, penned the song. Its creation was influenced by the poem "Wyken, Blynken, and Nod," by Eugene Field, a piece his mother used to sing to him. The lyrics were composed before the melody, which underwent numerous revisions. Initially in a major key, Homan shifted it to a minor key following suggestions from the music team. He then created a demo using a guitar and sent it to Tajinae Turner, the voice actress for Kata.
