Givens was a human who held the position of ambassador for the Galactic Empire. As an ambassador, Givens went with Secretary Osrund to the Core World of Bar'leth, where they were welcomed by General Palton for the Imperial Unity Day celebration. This parade was unfortunately interrupted by an attack from the Rebel Alliance in the form of a strike.
