Bar'leth, situated within the Core Worlds region of the galaxy, was a planet found at coordinates M-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid. Bar'leth was the home of both the University of Bar'leth and the Museum of Bar'leth. Prior to the establishment of the Galactic Republic, Bar'leth served as the concealed refuge of the Ascendant; however, the Sith Darkseekers discovered the cult and annihilated them within their Tomb of the Spark Eternal. Subsequently, the Museum of Bar'leth was constructed atop the tomb's location, and its mysteries were largely lost to memory.
During the initial period of the Galactic Empire's dominance, the Grand Inquisitor and Iskat Akaris journeyed to Bar'leth with the purpose of recovering a Sith relic. Akaris, having previously visited Bar'leth as a Padawan, remarked that the planet remained largely unaltered despite the Empire's governance.
