Techno Union droid factory
The droid manufacturing plant of Gizor Dellso was a factory for droids located on the volcanic planet of Mustafar. This facility was constructed into the side of a mountain and was situated near the Klegger Corp Mining Facility. Klegger Corporation owned the foundry, and this corporation worked in the interest of the Techno Union.
Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Gizor Dellso, a Geonosian Separatist holdout, reactivated the droid foundry to produce his own army of battle droids. He developed a prototype of an advanced super battle droid at this facility as a part of his resistance against the newly-christened Galactic Empire.
History
As Gizor's army expanded with each passing day, the Empire dispatched the 501st Legion to Mustafar with the mission to destroy the droid foundry. 501st troopers were deployed on a landing platform outside the droid facility on Mustafar. The droids fired upon many of the troopers from the entrance corridor's open windows as they stepped onto the platform. The 501st fought back as B2 super battle droids rushed out onto the landing platform. After securing the landing zone, they stormed the corridors, eventually forcing their way into the lava observatory room which then allowed them access to an outside walkway. The stormtroopers captured the walkway despite the fire from battle droid snipers.
With orders to obliterate the foundry, the 501st placed an orbital strike beacon on the overlook to call in an orbital bombardment of the base by the orbiting Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Gizor Dellso and his Geonosian bodyguards then arrived in a final attempt to expel the 501st. While many stormtroopers were killed, Gizor Dellso and his remaining droids were also killed.
The troopers were able to withdraw just before their overhead forces executed an orbital bombardment on the Mustafar complex, utterly destroying the droid factory.
