Glomkettle Hierogryph was a Snivvian female hailing from the planet of Cadomai Prime. She was the mother of the well-known con artist Marn Hierogryph and another son who became an actor. Married to Garl Hierogryph, Glomkettle often struggled to differentiate between her two boys. Following a string of youthful misdeeds by Marn, culminating in the racketeering conviction of his tutor based on fabricated evidence planted by Marn, Glomkettle and Garl Hierogryph decided to send their son away from Cadomai. In 3964 BBY, during an incident where Marn simulated a false Republic attack on the Mandalorian-controlled Flashpoint Stellar Research Station, the con artist named his fictional capital ship the Glomkettle.
Later on, Zayne Carrick adopted "Glomkettle" as an assumed name while posing as a Mandalorian commander on Dantooine. This was done to facilitate the rescue of a group of Jedi younglings from Dorjander Kace, the leader of the Mandalorian Knights.
The character of Glomkettle Hierogryph was initially referenced in Knights of the Old Republic 10, a comic penned by John Jackson Miller and published in 2006. Further details about Hierogryph were provided in Miller's short story titled Labor Pains, as well as in the reference publications Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Handbook and Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide.
