The tenth installment of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic comic book saga, entitled Knights of the Old Republic 10: Flashpoint, Part 3, serves as the concluding chapter of the Flashpoint story arc.
The thrilling Flashpoint saga reaches its dramatic conclusion! Zayne Carrick, the fugitive Padawan, along with his unlikely crew aboard the Last Resort, embark on their most perilous undertaking yet: a daring incursion into Mandalorian territory to liberate a captured comrade. Aided by an unexpected alliance, Zayne and his companions must locate a secluded space station, formerly a Republic research facility, now under the control of a Mandalorian scientist harboring sinister intentions. Successfully completing this mission while ensuring their own survival and that of their friend would require nothing short of insanity—fortunately, they possess it in abundance!
A ship lands at Flashpoint Station, situated deep within Mandalorian controlled space. Aboard is Mandalorian warrior Rohlan Dyre, presenting Jedi Padawan Zayne Carrick, a fugitive, to the scientist Demagol as a prisoner. Unbeknownst to the base's Mandalorian occupants, Dyre and Carrick are secretly collaborating to infiltrate the research facility and rescue both the imprisoned Jedi and Jarael.
Once inside the facility, Dyre approaches Demagol. He insists that Zayne be subjected to experimentation next, thereby saving Jarael from the impending torture. Upon entering the laboratory, Dyre subdues Demagol, and Zayne dons the scientist's armor, effectively assuming his identity. The pair then venture outside, engaging in conversation with other Mandalorians. During this exchange, Zayne subtly employs the Force to strategically position charges around the base.
At that moment, the Mandalorians intercept a communication, purportedly from a Republic Admiral. The Admiral detonates the charges planted by Zayne and issues a warning that similar tactics will be deployed against other Mandalorian outposts. However, the "Admiral" is, in reality, Gryph, broadcasting from The Last Resort, where he, Camper, and Elbee have been concealed.
The ruse is successful. The Mandalorians hastily evacuate Flashpoint aboard their vessel, intending to alert the rest of their forces about this novel Republic strategy. After freeing Jarael and the other captive Jedi, the two groups separate. Dyre decides to escort the Jedi and Demagol back to Coruscant. As The Last Resort prepares for departure, Rohlan Dyre stealthily re-enters the ship, concealing himself within the smuggler's hidden compartment.
