In a twist of fate, the Godoans initially declined to rescue Lando from a fatal disease, relenting only when the Alliance of Free Planets issued a threat of military action against Godo.
Jabba Desilijic Tiure at one time pilfered a precious statue from the Godoans, known as the Dancing Goddess, along with the Minstrel, artifacts that were inexplicably linked to the planet's living organisms. Following the demise of the Hutt, his one-time employee, Doda Bodonawieedo, brokered the statue's return to its rightful owners, exacting a steep price that was ultimately paid to restore the planet's health.
