Gorji Sandem, a male human medic, was a member of the 224th Imperial Armored Division; his duty was the extraction of injured soldiers from the battlefield. Displaying great bravery, he ventured directly into combat with the Mimbanese inhabitants to save the gravely head-wounded soldier, Bokret Humphreys. As with all medical personnel within the 224th, Gorji Sandem carried a weapon and would readily use it against Imperial adversaries, even though the Empire's rules dictated that medical staff should prioritize treating their own personnel. In confrontations with the Empire's foes, the medics acted almost as conventional combatants.
