Greist

Greist was a general in the reconstituted Sith Empire during the Galactic War, identified as a male Human.

Biography

General Greist took part in the Cleansing of Nopsin with his subordinates Phenter and Pierce. He opted to elevate Phenter to the rank of captain, while Pierce remained a lieutenant. Pierce was not bothered by this, as he considered Greist inflexible and their relationship was strained, leading to Pierce's reassignment shortly thereafter.

In 3640 BBY, General Greist was stationed on the planet Hoth, commanding the Armageddon Battalion. This battalion was originally intended to bolster the war effort on Corellia, but Darth Baras diverted them. The Emperor's Wrath approached Greist and Phenter, instructing them to disregard Baras' orders and lead the Armageddon Battalion to Corellia. However, due to his unyielding nature, the Wrath, under the direction of Servant One, used the Force-choke ability to kill Greist.

Personality and traits

Pierce, who had a short period of service under General Greist, characterized him as an obstinate individual.

Behind the scenes

Greist appears as a character in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. The destiny of Greist is subject to player choice, offering two distinct paths. The player can employ Force-choke to end his life or successfully persuade the general to direct his battalion toward Corellia. Choosing either option does not affect the player's alignment with the light or dark side.

If the player has Pierce as their active companion, Pierce cautions the General about the deadly consequences of disobeying the Wrath, but Greist disregards the warning. The player then has the option to eliminate Greist, which results in the acquisition of dark side points and a considerable increase in Pierce's affection.
