Gron Marrab was a male senator of the Mon Calamari species. Within the New Republic Senate and its Galactic Alliance successor, he was the representative for the Calamari sector. Marrab also held a position on the Council on Security and Intelligence.
After the events of the Battle of Coruscant, Marrab was appointed as the head of the commission tasked with the upkeep and repair of the New Republic's communication infrastructure. Despite his initial reluctance, he agreed to receive assistance from Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, and the Ryn Network; he later acknowledged that their contributions were crucial to resolving the communication breakdowns.
