Council on Security and Intelligence

The Council on Security and Intelligence (CSI) served as a committee responsible for the strategic direction of intelligence policy and offering counsel on threats directed at the New Republic. This council was composed of seven individuals, with a minimum of five members originating from the New Republic Senate, alongside three officials from either intelligence or the military; their meetings took place in Room 030 within the Imperial Palace.

History

During the discussions surrounding the New Republic's reaction to the Teljkon Vagabond incident in 16 ABY, the senators Krall Praget, Cair Tok Noimm, Amamanam, and Lillald were present, along with General Carlist Rieekan representing New Republic Intelligence.

By 25 ABY, the council's composition included six senators—Porolo Miatamia, Krall Praget, Gron Marrab, Tolik Yar, Ab'el Bogen, and Viqi Shesh—in addition to at least one intelligence officer, Colonel Belindi Kalenda. Furthermore, it held direct authority over the clandestine organization known as Alpha Blue.

By the year 40 ABY, it had been re-established under the banner of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances.
