Hadiya

Hadiya, known as the Despot Queen, was a Twi'lek female who brought together the criminal barons of her native Shikaakwa. Subsequently, she expanded her dominion to encompass the entire Tython system. In 25,805 BBY, the Je'daii Order confronted her, leading Hadiya to command the Despot Army in an invasion of the planet Tython, thus initiating the Despot War. Although the Despot Queen personally vanquished numerous Je'daii warriors on Tython, her eventual death at the hands of Daegen Lok, a Je'daii, within the Je'daii temple of Kaleth, marked the conclusion of the Despot War.

Biography

Hadiya, a Twi'lek of the female gender, rose to prominence on the planet Shikaakwa, located within the Tython system. Her initial focus was on unifying the Nine Houses of Shikaakwa, a process that involved subduing the criminal barons controlling these Houses. She was aided by her primary advisor, Bakko, the Iktotchi Ka'un Damm, along with her enforcers—the Devaronian Shri-Lan and the Human Gav Vannar. When the then-leader of Clan Ryo declined to join her cause, Hadiya killed both him and his eldest son. Following the demise of his father and older brother, the young Volnos Ryo swore allegiance to Hadiya. With the entirety of the Nine Houses of Shikaakwa under her control, Hadiya proclaimed herself Queen.

After securing control of her homeworld, Hadiya extended her influence to the other planets within the Tython system, conquering them and thereby earning the epithet "Despot Queen." However, Hadiya's refusal to acknowledge the authority of the Force-sensitive Je'daii Order led her to instigate the Despot War in 25,805 BBY, with the aim of seizing control of the entire Tython system. The Despot Army under Hadiya's command launched an invasion of Tython, the Je'daii's home planet, with the objective of annihilating the Je'daii. During the conflict, Daegen Lok, a Je'daii Ranger, approached Hadiya, claiming to have abandoned the Order and offering his services to her. Impressed by Lok's ruthlessness, Hadiya agreed to accept him into her ranks and swiftly promoted him to the rank of general within her military.

Hadiya, accompanied by Lok, initiated her assault on the Je'daii Temple of Kaleth, personally engaging in combat on the front lines. She was responsible for the deaths of Shae Koda's mother and father at the temple's entrance. Despite possessing a numerical advantage, Hadiya's forces were ultimately defeated by the Je'daii, although they fought with unwavering determination. By the time they arrived at Kaleth, Hadiya had entered into a romantic relationship with Lok, allowing him to share her tent during the evenings. Late one night during the battle, Lok seized an opportunity while Hadiya was asleep and produced a small dagger. As Lok hesitated, Hadiya awoke and retaliated, slashing at his right eye and leaving a scar on his brow. Lok then used the Force to subdue her and ultimately killed her. With the loss of their tyrannical queen, the Despot Army disintegrated, and Lok was celebrated as a hero for his role in her demise. A weak Kral, or overlord, succeeded Hadiya, proving easily manipulated by the leaders of the Nine Houses in the years following the Despot War.

Personality and traits

Daegon Lok, her lover, characterized Hadiya as a charismatic leader who was both cruel and beautiful, as well as highly persuasive. Hadiya's political prowess enabled her to unite the planets of the Tython system under her banner by portraying the Je'daii and the Force in a negative light.
