Hanley held a position as an officer within the Corellian Security Force throughout the Galactic War fought between the Galactic Republic and the re-emerging Sith Empire. During the time of Corellia's war against the Empire, Hanley, together with Crissom, Davit, and Officer Silas, participated in an assault aimed at the Imperial troops that had seized control of the Corellian Security Force Academy situated in Axial Park. Before the Empire could overwhelm them, they were quickly saved by Republic military personnel.
