The Hapan Water Dragon, alternatively called a Wavespeeder, functioned as an ocean transport for the Hapan royal lineage. This vehicle possessed the ability to traverse the ocean surface at maximum velocity.
In the year 23 ABY, Tenel Ka Djo, a youthful Jedi apprentice and the successor to the Hapan throne, journeyed through the Hapes oceanic regions aboard a Water Dragon. She was accompanied by her grandmother, the Queen Mother Ta'a Chume, and her fellow Jedi travelers.
Regrettably, Yfra, a deceitful Ambassador, orchestrated the destruction of the vessel via an explosion. Despite this, Tenel Ka, the Queen Mother, and their Force-sensitive allies lived through the assault. They also managed to survive an area of carnivorous seaweed, which Yfra had maliciously placed in the vicinity.
