In the year 229 BBY, Gavi, a Jedi youngling, guided his peers, including fellow younglings Tep Tep and Kildo, along with Zyle, an aspiring pirate, to the Parse residence, noting the area's run-down condition.
The junior novel Escape from Valo, penned by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong in 2024 as a contribution to Phase III of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia initiative, featured the Haplak district.
